1.2.1.3 | Van Body Control Station (See Figure 1.2.1.3)
The van body control station is located in the van body at the front of the
right–side wall. It contains the following controls:
COMPONENT
DESCRIPTION
Stop switch
Pushing in this switch will shut off the engine,
hydraulic power, and control power. Power to
the lights remains on.
Engine start switch
This switch allows for the engine to be started
from the van body. The stop switch must be
reset before the engine will start.
Engine on indicator
This green indicator light indicates that the
truck engine is running.
Master control toggle
switch
When placed in the on position, this switch
supplies power to the van body operating
controls only. The cab operating controls are
disabled. When the master switch is in the off
position, both control stations have power.
Stabilizer down switch
This switch allows for the stabilizers to be
lowered from the van body.
Stabilizer set indicator
When lit, this green light indicates that the
stabilizers are fully extended and pressurized.
Body up/down toggle
switch
When placed and held in the up position, this
switch engages the hydraulic pump and raises
the van body. When placed and held in the
down position, this switch lowers the van body.
Ramp out/in toggle
switch
When held in the out position, this switch
moves the front platform extension outward
(forward) from the van body. When held in
the in position, it retracts the front platform
extension.
Ramp lights toggle
switch
This on/off toggle switch controls the
floodlights for the platform ramp on the front
of the van body.
Body lights toggle
switch
This 3-way toggle switch controls the van
interior lights.
Deck lights toggle
switch
This 3-way toggle switch controls the
floodlights above the van body rear door.
Intercom sub-station
The intercom sub-station is mounted just to
the left of the van body control station.
NOTE:
The engine does NOT need to be
running to lower the van body.
NOTE:
To raise the lift, the engine
must be running, the parking
brake must be engaged, the
transmission must be in PARK, the
hydraulic pump running, and the
stabilizers set.
