SECTION 1 | GENERAL INFORMATION & OPERATING PROCEDURES

1.2.1.3 | Van Body Control Station (See Figure 1.2.1.3)

The van body control station is located in the van body at the front of the
right–side wall. It contains the following controls:

COMPONENT

DESCRIPTION

Stop switch

Pushing in this switch will shut off the engine,

hydraulic power, and control power. Power to
the lights remains on.

Engine start switch

This switch allows for the engine to be started
from the van body. The stop switch must be
reset before the engine will start.

Engine on indicator

This green indicator light indicates that the
truck engine is running.

Master control toggle
switch

When placed in the on position, this switch
supplies power to the van body operating
controls only. The cab operating controls are

disabled. When the master switch is in the off

position, both control stations have power.

Stabilizer down switch

This switch allows for the stabilizers to be
lowered from the van body.

Stabilizer set indicator

When lit, this green light indicates that the

stabilizers are fully extended and pressurized.

Body up/down toggle
switch

When placed and held in the up position, this
switch engages the hydraulic pump and raises
the van body. When placed and held in the
down position, this switch lowers the van body.

Ramp out/in toggle
switch

When held in the out position, this switch

moves the front platform extension outward

(forward) from the van body. When held in
the in position, it retracts the front platform

extension.

Ramp lights toggle
switch

This on/off toggle switch controls the
floodlights for the platform ramp on the front

of the van body.

Body lights toggle
switch

This 3-way toggle switch controls the van
interior lights.

Deck lights toggle
switch

This 3-way toggle switch controls the

floodlights above the van body rear door.

Intercom sub-station

The intercom sub-station is mounted just to
the left of the van body control station.

NOTE:

The engine does NOT need to be

running to lower the van body.

NOTE:

To raise the lift, the engine

must be running, the parking

brake must be engaged, the

transmission must be in PARK, the

hydraulic pump running, and the

stabilizers set.
