SECTION 2 | SERVICING THE HIGH LIFT TRUCK
TROUBLE
PROBABLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Electrical System (Refer to Figure 2.2.2 )
Truck engine will not
crank when ignition
switch is turned on.
Truck batteries are
discharged.
Recharge batteries.
60 amp. fuse blown.
Replace fuse.
10 amp. fuse blown.
Replace fuse.
Transmission shifter not
in park.
Shift into park.
Either stop is engaged.
Reset the switch.
No power at Terminal
1-1.
Wire disconnected
at fuse panel. Locate
and repair break.
Defective relay K2, K3,
K4, or K6.
Repair/replace
relay(s).
Defective circuit
breaker CB3.
Replace circuit
breaker(s).
Defective park switch.
Replace switch.

For all other problems, consult the truck’s manual.
Truck engine cranks
but does not start.
Lift raised and parking
brake is not set.
Set the parking brake
and restart.
Defective body position
switch.
Adjust, repair, or
replace switch.
Defective relay K7 or
K9.
Replace relay.

Truck engine runs in
park, but dies when
the transmission is
shifted into gear.
Lift platform not fully
lowered.
Shift to park, restart
the engine, and lower
the platform.
Rear lift gate down.
Raise and stow lift
gate.
Body position limit
switch jammed or
defective.
Clean, repair, or
replace limit switch.
Lift gate limit switch
jammed or defective.
Clean, repair, or
replace limit switch.
NOTE:
In case of a system wide
electrical failure, check for
battery power in electrical
control box and proper
grounding of control box.
