– Coat the cylindrical crankshaft
stub with oil.
Important:
Avoid damage to the crankshaft
stub.
:
Place the threaded sleeve (1)
over the thread (2) of the
cylindrical crankshaft stub and
screw it on.
– Hold the spindle of the assembly
tool steady and turn the spindle
screw until the drilled plate butts

against the crankcase.
:
Secure the assembly tool with a
screw (arrow) to prevent it
turning.
:
Back off the spindle screw (1) in
clockwise direction (left-hand
thread) until the crankshaft
contacts the deep groove ball

Note:
Since the crankshaft also turns as it
is drawn in with the assembly tool,
care must be taken to ensure that
the small end always faces up
towards the cylinder flange.
– Grease the sealing lips of the oil
seal,
:
Slide assembly sleeve (1)
1107 893 4600 over the
crankshaft stub on the clutch
side.
– Slip the oil seal with the open side
facing the crankcase over the
assembly sleeve.

:
Press in the oil seal with press
sleeve (1) 4224 893 2401.
– Remove the assembly sleeve.
– Turn the crankshaft through
several times after approx.
1 minute.

Important:
Avoid damage to the crankshaft
stub.
– Clean the sealing face with
standard solvent-based
degreasant not containing any
chlorinated or halogenated
hydrocarbons.
Note:
Mating faces must be absolutely
clean and undamaged.

Place a new gasket (1) on the
mating face of the ignition side of
the crankcase.
