Using the DICOM Modality Worklist
Search Feature
For software versions 1.5 or higher (requires DIMAQ-IP support and the DICOM 3.0
connectivity option)
Use the Worklist feature to automatically enter patient data on the
New
Patient Data
form. Systems with the Worklist option installed and the
Worklist server configured display a
Worklist
button on the screen.
To register a new patient using the Worklist feature:
1. Press the
F1
key on the keyboard to display the
New Patient Data
form.
2. Enter any required patient information for the Worklist search.
3. Select the
Worklist
button to perform a Worklist search. The system
will perform the search using one of the following methods:

If the system is configured to perform a streamlined search, it
begins searching for all procedures scheduled for the next 24 hours.
The system uses any data entered on the
New Patient Data
form.
–
If the system is not configured to perform a streamlined search, the
system displays the
Worklist Search
screen. The system populates
the search screen with any data entered on the
New
Patient Data
form.
4. If a search screen is displayed, enter any additional search criteria. Press
the Tab key to access the next field.
Note
: You are unable to enter search criteria or perform a search if
Use Cache
in the
Offline
field is selected.
5. To cancel the search and display the previous screen, select
Cancel
.
6. To clear the entered search criteria, select
Clear
.
7. To begin the search from the
Worklist Search
screen, select
Search
.
The system displays the search results at the top of the
Worklist
Search
screen and activates the
Scheduled
Procedures
field and the
Select
button.
