LCD Selections for Doppler Measurements
and Calculations
When the Measurement function is active, you can access these selections
by rotating the
FUNCTION SELECT
control on the LCD panel to highlight
the
D
tab on the LCD.
Use the system presets to customize the first page of LCD selections for
each exam type. The full list of available selections for Doppler is
shown below.
LCD Selection
Description
|
Flow-Volume
Selects methods for estimating blood flow volume.
|
PI Trace
Selects a trace method to determine a pulsatility index. Pulsatility index is the peak
systole minus end diastole, divided by a TAV (Time Averaged Velocity). The default
is TAMx (Time Average Maximum Velocity). If you select a diastole which crosses
the baseline, the Resistance Index does not display in the Measured Results.
|
Accel
Acceleration or Deceleration of speed over the time traveled determined by two
measurement markers.
|
Velocity
(Frequency)
Distance over time. The measurement is determined by a measurement marker
placed along a vertical plane. The LCD selection depends upon whether the Velocity
or the Frequency scale is currently displayed.
|
Undo
Removes the last measurement label and assigned value from the
Measured Results and report.
|
RI - S/D
Resistance Index is the peak systole minus the minimum diastole divided by the
peak systole.
|
HR
Heart rate determined over one heart cycle.
|
Time
Interval in milliseconds between two measurement markers.
|
A/B Ratio
Ratio of measurements. The ratios are A/B, B/A and (A-B)/A, and can be used with
Velocity or Frequency measurements.
|
Point Value
This function displays the Maximum, Minimum, Mean, and Mode velocity values
for any point in time determined by placement of one measurement marker.
|
Ave Values
This function displays the Maximum, Minimum, Mean, and Mode time-averaged
velocity values for any point in time determined by placement of one
measurement marker.
|
PI Auto
Use an automatic trace of the spectrum to determine a pulsatility index.
|
PI Manual
Use a manual trace of the spectrum to determine a pulsatility index.
|
A-Flow Volume
Area Flow Volume requires measurements in two modes: an area measurement
in 2D-mode using an ellipse, circle, or trace, and a TAV (time averaged velocity)
measurement from Doppler.
|
D-Flow Volume
Diameter Flow Volume requires measurements in two modes: a 2D-mode diameter
or two M-mode diameter measurements, and a TAV measurement from Doppler.
TAMn is the TAV measurement default.
