Documentation and Storage Devices
Caution:
Peripheral devices specified for use with the ultrasound system are
listed in the
System Reference
. Any use of other devices with the system is at
the user's risk.
The system is configured with an MO (magneto-optical) disk drive for
storage of system software, patient data, and images. For systems with
DIMAQ-IP, a CD drive, and an internal hard drive provide additional
storage capacity.
You can connect a maximum of three image/report documentation devices
to the system.
Black and white video printer (standard equipment)
Color video printer
Videocassette recorder (VCR)
Note:
Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for specific information concerning the
operation of these devices.
WARNING:
Accessory equipment connected to the analog and digital interfaces
must be certified according to the respective EN and IEC standards (for example,
EN 60950 and IEC 60950 for data processing equipment and EN 60601-1 and
IEC 60601-1 for medical equipment). Furthermore, all configurations shall comply
with the system standards EN 60601-1-1 and IEC 60601-1-1. Anyone who
connects additional equipment to any of the signal input or signal output ports
configures a medical system and is therefore responsible that the system
complies with the requirements of the system standards EN 60601-1-1 and
IEC 60601-1-1. Siemens can only guarantee the performance and safety of the
devices listed in the
System Reference
. If in doubt, consult Siemens service
department or your local Siemens representative.
