2. Picture quality adjustment procedure
(1) Shading correction
Whenever any of the following services is performed, it is necessary
to set the shading white board correction value (SIM 63-2).
•
Replacement of the copy lamp, copy lamp unit, CCD lens unit, the
2nd and 3rd mirror holder unit, or winding drive gear.
•
Replacement or tension adjustment of the MB wire.
•
Positional adjustment of the MB-B rail.
•
When there occurs in the density of a half-tone area due to shad-
ing.
Before setting the shading whiteboard correction value, make sure:
•
Each of the 1st to 3rd mirrors is free from dust or contamination.
•
The standard whiteboard is clean.
•
The table glass is free from dust or contamination.
•
The A3 or W letter size paper to be placed on the document table
is free from contamination, folds, or wrinkles.
Setting procedure:

Lay 10 sheets of A3 or W letter size paper one on top of another
on the document table, as shown in the illustration below. (Do not
use recycled paper or color paper.) Use the white paper specified
by Sharp.
Points to be kept in mind when carrying out shading correction
•
Lay A3 or W letter size paper, aligning their edges with the rear
edge of the table glass and the OR guide L alignment position.
(See the illustration.)
•
When executing a simulation, do not hold down the A3 or W
letter size paper with the RADF.
•
To securely hold in place, lay 2 copies of the Instruction Manual
on the sheets of A3 or W letter size paper to prevent them from
lifting.

(2) Setting test chart

Lay a test chart (UKOG-0162FCZZ) on the document table at the
front frame side.

Lay 4 to 5 sheets of white paper (specified by Sharp), more than
120 mm wide and about 420 mm long, one on top of another on
the test chart, aligning their centers.
