(2) Adjusting developing magnet roller main pole
position
1
Remove the four screws securing the toner hopper and the
developer tank and 5-pin connector, to separate the toner tank
hopper from the developer tank. Lay the developer tank on a level
surface.
2
Tie thread to a sewing needle or set screw, as shown above.
3
Holding one end of the thread, bring the needle close to the MG
roller keeping it horizontal. (Do not use a clip, because the MG
roller is so small that you cannot pinpoint the correct position.)
4
Keep the tip of the needle 2
∼
3 mm away from the MG roller
surface and mark its surface in a position which hits the line
extended from the needle’s end. (Do not let the tip of needle
contact the MG roller.)
5
Measure the distance between the marking and the developer
tank shaded area P. Make sure the distance is 20.5 mm.
If the value is not as specified, loosen the screw A securing the
main pole adjustment plate and move the adjustment plate
properly in the direction indicated by the arrow.
(3) Adjusting DV bias voltage
1
Set the digital multi meter range for DC 400V or more.
2
Put the test rod between the DV bias output check pin (CP-B) and
the chassis (GND).
3
Execute SIM 8-1 to check the DV bias voltage.

(4) Pay attention to the following points when
installing developing unit rollers
1
Direction of installing V rings
2
Make sure there is no clearance between the V ring and roller in
the marking position (

).
3
Installation of the
