Measure the distances L1 and L2 on the copied image and enter
the measured values in steps of 0.1 mm on the operation panel
display.
The screen can be switched over by using the message scroll key
(
→
).
L1:
Distance from the leading edge of the void area to the 10-mm
marking (mm)
L2:
Distance from the edge of the paper to the leading edge of the
scale image (mm)
6
Measure the distance from the leading edge of the paper to the
leading edge of the scale image of each copy (400% and 100%),
and enter the measured values of L1 and L2 using the message
feed key and the numeric keypad. This automatically calculates
the values of RRC-A and RRC-B in SIM 50-01 and stores the
results in memory.
If the L1 = 24.5 mm, L2 = 15.0 mm
Input method
L1 = 24.5 mm
÷
0.1 mm/step = 245
L2 = 15.0 mm
÷
0.1 mm/step = 150
7
After that, check and adjust the displacement, image loss and void
among different magnifications in the same manner as in SIM
50-01.

(1) Adjusting document detection arm unit
1
Adjusting OC switch On timing
(This adjustment should be performed at the manufacturer.)
Execute SIM 41-01.
•
Loosen the document cover switch actuator adjustment screw
move the actuator, so that the OC switch changes from reverse
video to normal display when the height from the table glass to
the arm unit top is 32.0
±
0.5 mm with the document detection
arm unit being tilted slowly. (If the document cover switch On
timing is not proper, the document detection function might
malfunction.)
