Incoming Message Ringer
Your Samsung Phone allows you to set the ring type fo r
incoming messages (see “Ring Type Setting for Voice and
M e s s age Calls” on page 45).
You can also set how often you want to be “ a l e rt e d ” or “ t o l d ”
that you have a message .To set this option:
1 . Slide right to display the Messages Menu .
2 . P ress for Inbox .
3 . P ress for A l e rt .
4 . Use the scroll keys to select one of the fo l l owing options:
◆ ONCE - when you re c e i ve a message , your phone will
ring one time.
◆
E V E RY 2 MIN - when you re c e i ve a message , yo u r
phone will ring eve ry two minutes until answe re d .
◆
OFF - when you re c e i ve a message , the phone will not
ri n g , but the
indicator will display when a mes-
s age is wa i t i n g ,
5 . When the desired option display s ,p ress to save the
s e t t i n g .
Incoming Messages and Lock Mode
Incoming messages are re c e i ved even when your phone is in
L o ck mode. H oweve r, the screen will not display info rm a t i o n
about the message . To access a message , or to re t u rn a call
other than an emergency or pri o rity nu m b e r, u n l o ck the
phone to pro c e e d .
