Entering text, numbers, or symbols
When you are prompted to enter tex t , the current text entry
method will appear on the bottom-right corner as T9 wo rd ,
A b c ( a l p h a ) , or 123(nu m b e rs ) . To toggle between Input Modes,
A b c ,S y m b o l s ,1 2 3 , or T9 wo rd ,p ress the
soft key.
Alphabetical Text Entry
Text ch a ra c t e rs may be entered in Abc(alpha) Input Mode by
p ressing the key corresponding to the letter that you want to
e n t e r. P ress the same key re p e a t e d ly to ch a n ge between the
ch a ra c t e rs re p resented by each key. E n t ry order of the upper
case and lower case letters can be selected using
s o f t
key to toggle between ‘A b c ’ ,‘A B C ’ , or ‘ ab c ’m o d e s .
Numbers and Symbol Entry
N u m b e rs and symbols are entered by ch a n ging to the appro-
p riate Input Mode and pressing the soft key for the symbol
you wa n t , or the digit key of the number you wa n t . A total of
27 types of symbols are ava i l able for input. Symbols can also
be entered by re p e a t e d ly pressing

Text Input
T9 Text Input enables you to easily enter tex t .T9 (for “ t ext on
9 keys”) re q u i res only one key press per letter, and quick ly
recognizes the most commonly used wo rd of a nu m e ri c
s e q u e n c e . For ex a m p l e , to enter the wo rd “ h e l l o ,” you can
spell out the wo rd by pressing only fi ve key s ,4 - 3 - 5 - 5 - 6 .T 9
Text Input knows the most commonly used sequence fo r
that nu m e ric sequence is “ h e l l o ” . If two or more wo rd s
s h a re the same nu m e ric sequence,T9 softwa re provides the
most commonly used wo rd , with the ability to scroll to the
n ext most commonly used wo rd by pressing the

re p e a t e d ly to display all of the ava i l able wo rds that T 9
k n ow s .When the wo rd you want displays continue to enter
t ext in the same way or you can ch a n ge to another text or
ch a racter entry mode. If the wo rd you want to enter is not
k n own by T9 press
