The MiniBrowser
The MiniBrowser allows you to access certain info rm a t i o n
s u ch as stock quotes and weather via the Intern e t . B row s i n g
the web via the phone is not like using your home comput-
e r. Site prov i d e rs have selected only the critical aspects of
their site to present to wireless phone users , and have
re m oved most gra p h i c s .
E a ch time you start the MiniBrow s e r, the phone will connect
to your browser serv i c e , and the service indicator icon (
)
will appear on the display. A ny time the service indicator
icon is visible on the display, your phone is connected to the
n e t wo rk and you will be billed accord i n g ly. Rates will va ry
a c c o rding to your billing plan.
The MiniBrowser will end the connection after a cert a i n
p e riod of netwo rk inactivity and will automatically re - c o n-
nect as necessary. This is normal and is designed to minimize
your bill.
To Setup the MiniBrowser Prompts
Your phone can be set so that you view a prompt each time
you start or end a MiniBrowser session.You have the option
to ch a n ge when these start and end prompts appear. T h e
d e fault setting is no start or end pro m p t .H e re ’s how to
ch a n ge the settings:
1 . P ress to display the Main Menu .
2 . P ress for Setup.
3 . P ress for MiniBrow s e r.
4 . Use the scroll keys to select one of the four options:
◆ P rompt to start .( You will see the prompt when yo u
enter the brow s e r, but not when you exit it.)
