Pause Dialing From a Stored Phone Book Entry
Pause dialing from your Phone Book is easy:
1 . Dial the teleservice number from your phone book in the
way you pre fer (use the turbo dial or scroll to it method).
2 . Wait to be prompted by the teleservice for the nu m b e r
( c redit card nu m b e r, bank account nu m b e r, e t c . ) .
3 . When pro m p t e d ,p ress to send the DTMF nu m b e r
that fo l l ows your pause. “SENDING DTMF” flashes on the
s c re e n , and the transmitted tones are audibl e .
Manual Pause Dialing
Pauses are entered manu a l ly using the Digit Entry Menu dur-
ing the dialing pro c e s s .
To manu a l ly dial a number using a pause(s):
1 . Enter the phone number of the service you want to con-
nect to (such as the bank’s teleservice phone nu m b e r ) .
For ex a m p l e , your bank’s teleservice phone number might
be a 1.800 nu m b e r.
2 . P ress to insert a pause. The screen displays a “ p ”
indicating a pause. Enter the number to be sent after the
pause by pressing the digit key s , and then press
.
3 . After connecting, wait for the prompt from the teleser-
v i c e .After the pro m p t ,p ress again to transmit the
additional nu m b e r.
