Network Analyzer Mode (R&S ZVH-K42)

The network analyzer mode provides the functionality to characterize networks with
one or two ports.

All R&S ZVH models already have a tracking generator and VSWR bridge that are
necessary to use the network analyzer.

The network analyzer mode becomes available if you equip the R&S ZVH with
firmware option R&S ZVH-K42 (order no 1309.6846.02). This option enables vector
measurements to determine the reflection or transmission characteristics in both
directions of the device under test (DUT). In addition to the magnitude of the
transmistted and reflected power, vector measurements also determine the phase
characteristics of the DUT.

Although the accuracy of measurements is high in the default factory calibration, the
R&S ZVH also provides all necessary calibration methods to correct the magnitude for
these kinds of measurements and make results even more accurate.

► Press the MODE key.

► Press the "Network Analyzer" softkey.

The R&S ZVH turns on the tracking generator. Frequency and level settings are
inherited from the previous operating mode.
