Entry of Carrier Frequency for NAP Sensors
For improving the measurement accuracy, the NAP sensors of type NAP-Z7, -Z8 and -Z42 are delivered
with frequency-dependent calibration factors so that a frequency response correction is possible for
those sensors, too. As the calibration factors are not stored in the sensor but available in printed form,
they must be entered in the NRT prior to activating the frequency response correction (see Section 0).
The NRT provides memory space for up to three sensors.
Thus selection of the relevant data set is requested before the carrier frequency is entered,.

SETm
Calibration data set relevant for the frequency response
correction.
m = 1, 2, 3. The data set selected must contain the calibra-
tion data appropriate for the sensor.
Always
After selecting the calibration data set the carrier frequency can be entered:

2.4.2 ZERO
(Zeroing)
In particular thermal effects, such as screwing the sensor to a hot RF connector, may cause a forward
and reverse power indication other than zero without an RF signal being applied. This disturbance re-
ferred to as deviation from zero is additive, ie it is added in the same amount and with same polarity to
the measured value. Therefore it can be measured within a zeroing procedure and then subtracted from
each measured value.
CORRection - ZERO:
Proceed as follows:
Switch off RF power and select
EXEC
menu with
SEL(LOCAL)
key.
The instrument signals completion of zeroing by "ZEROING..." and switches to normal power indica-
tion after approx. 4 s. For all power measurement functions except
PEP
with modulation correction
(see Section 2.4.3) the deviation from zero should have disappeared except for a time-variant resid-
ual error due to the display noise.
If the message "NO ZEROING <POWER IS ON>" is diplayed, switch off RF power and repeat zero-
ing.

none (last setting)
