Scaling of Bargraphs and Underrange Identification
In the measurement mode, the bargraphs for power and reflection indication appear in the left and right
half of the display. With the associated cursor keys of the
POWER
and
REFLECTION
keypads, the
scale range can be adapted.
Automatic scaling
AUTO-Mode
SCALE
AUTO
Simultaneous actuation of the two cursor keys switches the bargraph from
FIXED mode to AUTO mode. The bargraph scaling is then automatically
adapted to the measured value (autoscaling).
IEC/IEEE command:
:SENSe<n>:POWer[:POWer]:RANGe:AUTO ON
AUTO-Mode
(Underrange)
If the forward power is too small to measure power or reflection, the NRT
displays the underrange identification
uUu
instead of the right-hand scale end
value in the left-hand bargraph. The underrange identification disappears in
the FIXED mode:

Actuating these keys in
AUTO mode:
Range is frozen, instrument switches from
AUTO to FIXED mode.
FIXED
mode:
Depending on cursor key used, range is reduced
or increased.
Watt:
..., (0 to 3), (0 to 10), (0 to 30), ..
dB / dBm:
..., (0 to 10), (10 to 20), (20 to 30), ..
%:
..., (-10 to 10), (-30 to 30), (-100 to 100)
IEC/IEEE command:
:SENSe<n>:POWer[:POWer]:RANGe:AUTO OFF
No direct response on IEC/IEEE bus since
the limits have to be stated explicitly.
:SENSe<n>:POWer[:POWer]:RANGe:LOWer -10
:SENSe<n>:POWer[:POWer]:RANGe:UPPer 100
The scaling of the bargraphs has no unit. If another unit is selected for the measured value, the scaling
is not converted. In FIXED mode, the scale limits of the bargraphs may have any values, they can ex-
plicitly be entered in the CONFig menu (Section 2.3.5).
Note:
For range monitoring (Section 2.5.9) the associated bargraph always remains in
FIXED mode and cannot be switched to AUTO mode.
2.2.4
Selection of the Active Sensor
If several sensors are connected to the NRT simultaneously, it is always possible to switch from one
active sensor to another by pressing the SEL (LOCAL) key and selecting the desired sensor connection
by means of the vertical cursor keys (indication
SENS...
in the bottom right of the display). For details
refer to Section 2.1.7.
