1.4.5  Preselection of ON Period

To save further power, the NRT can be configured for automatic switch-off after a certain time in battery
mode. The NRT is automatically switched off if within a set period (5 min, 20 min or 2 h) neither a key is
pressed nor a remote-control command sent. The setting is made in the UTILity menu. In the following
example, automatic switch-off is activated after 20 min:

Some seconds before switching off the NRT sends a repeated, rhythmical beep signal. If any key is
pressed during this time the switching off process is cancelled and the ON period is extended by the
selected value.

1.4.6 Battery Counter

The NRT contains two counters one of which registers the battery operating time since the last complete
charging of the battery. As a fully charged battery allows to operate the NRT for about 8 hours, this gives
an estimate of the remaining battery capacity. The battery time is displayed via the UTILity menu.

The battery counter is automatically reset after each complete charging of the battery (except for manual
