Short Introduction
NRT
1080.9506.02
2.6
E-8
Sensors of type NAP-Z7, NAP-Z8 and NAP-Z42 have a similar response as sensors of type NRT-Z.
Since the correction factors are not stored in the sensor but are written down, they have to be first en-
tered into the NRT (see Section 2.4.6). The NRT provides the necessary memory space for up to three
different sets of calibration data. The relevant calibration data set has to be selected prior to the fre-
quency entry (see example).
Note:
When selecting the default setting for an NAP-sensor no frequency value will be
indicated. In this case, a calibration factor of 100% for both measurement direc-
tions is used.
Activating the frequency response correction
Based on the default setting, this example is to show how the user-specific frequency response correc-
tion is activated by a new frequency value (2,27 GHz). The stored value is overwritten.
CORR
Press this menu key
,
the
display shows:
If
USER
is underlined, ie a user-specific setting is already available, skip the next step.
Press the cursor key; the
underscore is shifted to the
left.
USER
is selected, the
underscore starts blinking.
LOCAL
SEL
Press this input key; the fre-
quency entered last is dis-
played.
With an NAP sensor the calibration
data set selected last is displayed.
The setting can either be confirmed
with the input key (see example), or
another data set can be selected
with the cursor keys. The frequency
entered last is indicated in this case,
too.
LOCAL
SEL
If operation is to be continued with the frequency indicated, press the input key, whereupon the NRT
returns to the measurement mode. To change the frequency value, proceed as follows (same for NAP
sensor):
Pressing the cursor key 2
×
increments the selected
number by 2.
Pressing the cursor key 1
×
selects the decimal point.
Pressing the cursor key 2
×
shifts the decimal point two
digits to the left.
