holding the gate tray to the front and back carriages.
Refer to
10. Remove the gate tray.
11. Remove the carriage assembly that you are trying to
adjust or replace.
12. Adjust the position of the carriage assembly wheels
by using the two carriage assembly wrenches. Use
one wrench to hold the nut located next to the wheel
in place. Use the other wrench to adjust the nut that
moves the middle wheel. Refer to
. Adjusting the wheels can be a delicate
process, as small wheel adjustments can result in
large differences. The five-wheel carriage assembly
has two nuts to adjust.
You want the carriage assembly to fit snug in the
linear guide but not so snug that it restricts gate
movement or catches. You may want to test the
carriage assembly with the weight of the gate in
place.
13. When you have replaced and/or adjusted the desired
carriage assemblies, replace them in the correct
linear guides. The arrow should point down.
14. Replace the gate tray and screw it into place using
the carriage assemblies and screws from steps 9 and
10.
15. Carefully lift the gate into the gate tray. Use the four
nuts from step 6 to secure the gate in place.
16. Secure the encoder in place using the two nuts from
step 5.
17. Replace the scale plate and secure it using the thumb
screws from step 3. The thumb screws should not be
tightened all the way, they should merely hold the
scale plate in place while still allowing free
movement.
18. Replace the glass platform.
19. Power the CubiScan 25 on.
