Replacing a Load Cell

disconnect the wires that correspond to the damaged
load cell cable.
7. Remove the two screws holding the shroud in place
using a 3/32'' Allen wrench. Refer to
.
8. Remove the two nuts holding the shroud in place
using an 11/32'' nut driver. Refer to
.
9. Move the gate to the left side of the CubiScan 25.
10. Remove the shroud. Move the gate to the right side
of the CubiScan 25 (home position).
11. Remove the ferrite on the load cell cables. Refer to
12. Remove the nut holding the load cell cable in the
load cell summing box using the 7/16'' wrench. Refer
to
.
13. Remove the cable from the load cell summing box
and use the two 7/16'' wrenches to loosen the metal
attachments on the damaged load cell cable. Remove
the attachments indicated in
. You will need these attachments for the
new load cell cable.
14. Remove the four load cell balls and keep them in a
safe location.

15. Locate the damaged load cell body and unscrew the
two screws holding it in place using a 1/8'' Allen
wrench. Refer to
16. Screw the new load cell body into place using the two
screws from the previous step.
17. Carefully turn the CubiScan 25 so that it is lying on
its side. You will need to access wires that are located
on the underside of the CubiScan 25.
18. You may want to take a picture of how the wires are
routed under the CubiScan 25, so that you can
duplicate this process later.
19. Locate the damaged load cell cable and use the zip tie
cutters to cut all the cable ties that are holding it in
place.
