Balancing the Load Cells
This section describes how to balance the CubiScan 25’s
load cells.
Items Needed
•
Small Flathead Screwdriver
•
3/32'' Allen Wrench
•
15 lb Weight (it is recommended that the maximum
weight is used)
•
Paper
•
Pencil
Complete the following steps to balance the load cells.
Balanced load cells report the same weight. There are
four load cells located at each corner of the CubiScan 25.
To balance the load cells the CubiScan 25 must be on.
1. Make sure that there is no air blowing on the
CubiScan 25, as this can disrupt the balancing
process.
2. Zero the scale by tapping the
Zero
button located on
the main screen.
3. On the CubiScan 25’s touchscreen, go to
Menu >
Diagnostics > Scale (1/2)
. This screen will display the
current weight in the
Wgt
field.
4. Temporarily remove the glass platform.
5. Remove the eight screws holding the load cell
summing board lid in place and remove the lid. Refer
to
6. Replace the glass platform. Balancing the load cells
without the glass in place is much more difficult
because the scale plate loses its rigidity.

This section describes the procedure used to balance the load cells of the CubiScan 25.
