2. Carefully remove the glass platform and place it in a
safe location.
3. Remove the four thumb screws (two at each end of
the CubiScan 25) holding the scale plate in place.
4. Remove the scale plate and set it aside.
5. Move the gate into the home position (the right side
if facing the front of the CubiScan 25).
6. Remove the two screws holding the shroud in place
using the 3/32'' Allen wrench. Refer to Figure 32 .
7. Remove the two nuts holding the shroud in place
using an 11/32'' nut driver. Refer to Figure 32 .
8. Move the gate all the way to the left side of the
CubiScan 25 (if facing the front of the CubiScan 25).
9. Remove the shroud.
10. Move the gate back into the home position.
11. Remove the screws holding the ribbon cables in
place by using a Phillips screwdriver. Once the
screws have been removed, pull the ribbon cables
out. The ribbon cable locations are indicated in
Figure 33 .
12. Disconnect the gate power cable and encoder cable
by unscrewing the cables and pulling them out. The
cables are indicated in
Figure 33 .
13. Remove the nuts holding the cable carrier clamp
down by using the 11/32'' nut driver. Refer to
Figure 34 .
14. Remove the cable carrier clamp.
15. When all necessary cables have been disconnected,
pull the cable carrier out so that it lies flat.
16. Pop off the plastic cable carrier latches located on
top of the cable carrier. Refer to Figure 35 .
17. Remove the three screws holding the encoder in
place using the 3/32'' Allen wrench. Refer to
Figure 36 .
