Replacing the Encoder Magnet

18. Remove the damaged encoder and discard it.
19. Screw the replacement encoder into place on the
gate bracket using the screws that were removed in
step 17. The cable should be facing the gate. Make
sure that the arrow on the encoder is pointing down.
20. Route the cable into the cable carrier and snap the
plastic cable carrier latches back into place.
21. Tuck the cable carrier back into its former position.
22. Plug and screw the gate power and encoder cables
23. Screw the ribbon cables back into place using the
screws from step 11.
24. Replace the cable carrier clamp and secure it in place
using the nuts from step 13.
25. Replace the scale plate and secure it using the thumb
screws from step 3. The thumb screws should not be
tightened all the way, they should merely hold the
scale plate in place while still allowing free
movement.
26. Replace the glass platform.
27. Power the CubiScan 25 back on.
Replacing the Encoder Magnet
This section describes how to replace the encoder
magnet. The encoder magnet sits on top of the back
linear guide. Refer to

Solvent (such as rubbing alcohol)

Replacement Encoder Magnet
Complete the following steps to replace the encoder
magnet.
1. Power the CubiScan 25 off.
2. Peel up the damaged encoder magnet and discard it.
