Settings to use the image checker PV230/PV200 for link control with the laser marker are described below.

Communication settings of image checker PV230/PV200
To connect the laser marker with PV230/PV200, configure the PV230/PV200's communication settings as follows.

Make sure that the IP address for the laser marker on the network is not overlapping the IP
address for the other external devices.
Input/output setting
To use the link control function with the laser marker and PV230/PV200, configure the system settings on the PV230/
PV200 as follows.

From “Environment” - “Input/Output” setting screen of PV230/PV200, select the “General Output”.

Set the items of Ethernet with the protocol setting “General
Com.” as follows.

• Numeric Calculation
For position correction : Yes
For other than position correction : No *
• Optical Character Recognition: No *

* : When you use Ethernet with the protocol setting both “PLC Com.” and “General Com.”, for the items with * you can
change the settings according to your PLC configuration. For the items without *, follow the above settings.

• When the result of the total judgement by PV230/PV200 is “1”, the laser marker outputs CHECK OK OUT, and when the
result is “0”, CHECK NG OUT is output.
