Introductions
IMPORTANT:
When formatting the hard disk of a recording/failover server device, it is important to change its
Allocation unit size
setting from 4 to 64 kilobytes. This is to significantly improve recording performance of the hard

Active Directory
OnSSI RC-E users are normally added from Active Directory, although users can also be added without Active
Directory.
Active Directory is a distributed directory service included with several Windows Server operating systems; it identifies
