Disabling Input Error
Detection
Input error detection can be disabled for unused inputs so that input errors,
including Off-wire conditions, will not be detected. If input error detection is
disabled, the Temperature Input Warning Flag and Off-wire Detection Flag
will remain OFF regardless of whether there is a broken or disconnected input
wire, or the temperature has exceeded the convertible range. The value of the
temperature data will be set to 7FFF hex, just as it is when an Off-wire condi-
tion is detected. (The value of the temperature data in 1/100 Display Mode will
be 7FFFFFFF.)

1. In the Network Configuration Window, double-click the icon of the Slice I/O
Unit that is to be set. Alternatively, right-click the icon and select
Parame-
ters

Edit
. The Edit Device Parameters Window will be displayed.
2. Select the Temperature Input Unit to be edited from the
I/O Module
Tab
Page.
3. Click the
Edit
Button on the
I/O Module
Tab Page. The Edit Unit Parame-
ters Window will be displayed.
4. Select the
Disable Input Error’s Detection
Check Box in the
Function
Choice
Area.
5. Return to the
General
Tab, click the
Download
Button, and then click the
Reset
Button to reset the Unit.
6. Click the
OK
Button to exit.
