7.2.3 Dressing wheel
7.2.3.1 Dressing
1. Establish the MENU mode.
(See 7.1.1.)
2 . P re s s M a i n t e n a n c e t o d i s p l a y t h e
Maintenance screen.
3. Press Dressing.
4. Press DONE for the Wheel Dressing. The
wheel will start to rotate and the cleaning
water will run.
5. Press the STOP button to stop the water
which is running to the wheel.
6. Lightly touch the dressing sticks as listed
below to the wheel when the water supply is
stopped.
1) Glass roughing wheel: WA80K (Dressing
stick for roughing wheel)
2) CR39 polishing wheel: WG320K (Dressing
stick for polishing)
3) Glass polishing wheel: WA320K (Dressing stick for polishing wheel)
4) Polishing wheel: WA4000 (Dressing stick for polishing wheel)
5) SFB wheel: WA320K (Dressing stick for finishing wheel)
* Previously immerse the dressing stick in water to absorb water sufficiently when performing
the dressing.
* Be careful to touch the dressing stick. Touching the dressing stick strongly or the corner of its
edge to the wheel may damage the surface of the wheel.
* Never dress the roughing wheel for plastic lenses.
7. After touching the dressing stick to the wheel for a few seconds, press the Start button to
run the cleaning water for removing the dirt on the wheel.
8. Press the STOP button to stop the cleaning water.
9. Repeatedly perform the steps 6 - 8 several times.
10. Perform compounding when dressing the polishing wheel has been performed.
