7.9.2 Adjustment of the Safety Bevel AXIS
1. Read the stored lens data of square 45.
(See 7.2.4.)
2. Select the processing settings of the lens (lens
type: CR-39, diopter: -3D to -5D) as below
on the layout screen.
1) In beveling
a. Frame type: Metal
b. Processing mode: Guide (5 : 5)
c. Polishing: NONE
d. S.F.B.: Medium
2) In flat processing
a. Frame type: Nylor
b. Processing mode: Flat
c. Polishing: NONE
d. S.F.B.: Medium
3. After the beveling and flat processing are
completed, verify that the amount of the
safety bevel is even on the right and left sides
of the upper lens edge viewing from the lens
front.
4. Follow the procedures below to adjust the
Safety Bevel AXIS when the amount of the
safety bevel is different on the right and left
sides of the upper lens edge viewing from the
lens front.
1) Establish the Parameter Setting mode.
(See 7.1.2.)
2) Press Adjustment.
3) Press AXIS.
4) Change the following parameter settings.
a. Rear AXIS (Flat)
b. Front AXIS (Flat)
c. Rear AXIS (Bevel)
d. Front AXIS (Bevel)
* Input the plus value when the amount of the
safety bevel on the right side of the upper lens
edge is larger viewing from the lens front.
* Changing the Rear AXIS changes the Rear
AXIS (Polish).
* Changing the Front AXIS changes the Front
AXIS (Flat).
