7.11.6 Adjusting the hole depth
1. Read the Drill Adjustment Pattern (FSO).
(See 7.2.5.)
2. Put the lens into the processing chamber and
grind it.
3. Verify that there are 6 holes drilled in the
lens after the processing is completed.
1) : depth -0.3, inclination Auto
2) : depth 0.0, inclination Auto
3) : depth +0.3, inclination Auto
* The depth of the holes to vary in +0.1
increments from -0.3 to +0.3.
4. Follow the procedures below to adjust the
hole depth when the numbers of the holes
are not 1 - 6.
1) Establish the Parameter Setting mode.
(See 7.1.2.)
2) Press Adjustment.
3) Press Groove & Drilling.
4) Change the following parameter settings.
a. Hole Depth (X)
* Add -0.5 to the parameter when there are
7 holes ground in the lens.
* Add 0.5 to the parameter when there is not
any hole ground in the lens.
5) Repeat the steps above until the number of
the holes become 1 - 6.
5. Add the adjustment value in the right table
to the parameter according to the numbers
of the holes.
* It is the most proper condition that 3 holes
are ground in the lens and the hole of are
slightly ground.
