(6) ANI0 through ANI11 pins

These are analog input pins for the 12 channels of the A/D converter, and are used to input analog signals to be

converted into digital signals.  Pins other than ones selected as analog input with the analog input channel

specification register (ADS) can be used as input ports.

Caution Make sure that the voltages input to ANI0 through ANI11 do not exceed the rated values.  If a

voltage higher than AV

REF

 or lower than AV

SS

 (even within the range of the absolute maximum

ratings) is input to a channel, the conversion value of the channel is undefined, and the

conversion values of the other channels may also be affected.

(7) AV

REF

 pin

This pin inputs a reference voltage to the A/D converter.

The signals input to the ANI0 through ANI11 pins are converted into digital signals based on the voltage applied

across AV

REF

 and AV

SS

.

(8) AV

SS

 pin

This is the ground pin of the A/D converter.  Always keep the potential at this pin the same as that at the V

SS

 pin

even when the A/D converter is not in use.

(9) AV

DD

 pin

This is the analog power supply pin of the A/D converter. Always keep the potential at this pin the same as that

at the V

DD

 pin even when the A/D converter is not in use.
