CHAPTER 14 A/D CONVERTER

(7) AV

REF

This pin inputs the A/D converter reference voltage.

It converts signals input to ANI0 to ANI7 into digital signals according to the voltage applied between AV

REF

and

. If the voltage to be input to the AV

REF

pin is adjusted to the AV

level in the standby mode, the current

in the series resistor string will be decreased.

Caution A series resistor string of approximately 10 k

Ω

is connected between the AV

REF

pin and the

pin.

Therefore, if the output impedance of the reference voltage source is high, this will result in

parallel connection to the series resistor string between the AV

REF

pin and the AV

pin, and

there will be a large reference voltage error.

(8) AV

Ground potential pin of the A/D converter. It must be at the same level as the V

pin even if the A/D converter

is not used.

(9) AV

Analog power supply pin of the A/D converter. It must be at the same level as the V

pin even if the A/D converter

is not used.
