Security
Protocol ON/OFF
Disables network protocol and network services that are
not used.
IP Filtering
Restricts access via TCP/IP. Also supports access from
outside the company. However, this function requires
knowledge regarding IP addresses. Incorrect settings
may lead to serious trouble, such as becoming unable to
access the machine from the network.
MAC Address Filtering
Restricts access by MAC address. Also supports access
from outside the company. However, this function
requires knowledge regarding MAC addresses. Incorrect
settings may lead to serious trouble, such as becoming
unable to access the machine from the network.
Encryption (SSL/TLS)
Enables communication between the computer (client)
and the machine to be encrypted.
IPSec
Enables communication between the computer (client)
and the machine to be encrypted and modification to be
prevented.
Web Page
Authentication Method
Configures the Web Page authentication method.
Maintenance
Restart/Initialize
Restarts or initializes the network. When the network is
restarted, the Web page is not displayed from a Web
browser until the restart process is complete. When
the network is initialized, information that has been set
manually is lost because the IP address is initialized. The
Web page also cannot be displayed.
Network Scale
This setting enables the machine to operate on the
network more efficiently. When using a hub with the
spanning tree function, this setting is effective if the
machine is connected to a computer via a cross cable.
