3.6.9 Caution in handling
•
Don’t drop product.
•
Don’t disassemble the PLC or modules. No user serviceable parts inside.
•
In case of wiring, make sure foreign substance not to enter upper part of module.
1. Caution in handling I/O module.
a. Recheck I/O module specification
i. Be cautious about input voltage. If output voltage that exceeds the maximum
open/close voltage is applied, it may cause module damage.
b. Environment
i. If a device or material that produces high heat is too close or oil is in contact
with wire for lengthy amount time, it may cause short, malfunction, or error in
the control system.
ii. Prevent any foreign material from entering the PLC or modules.
c. Polarity
i. Before supplying power to module with terminal block, check the polarity.
d. Wiring
i. When selecting wire, consider ambient temperature and current capacity.
ii. In case of wiring IO with high voltage line or power line, induced noise may
cause error.
iii. Do not cover I/O LEDs.
iv. If induced load is connected with output module, connect the surge suppressor
or diode to load in parallel. Connect cathode of diode to + side of power.
