Step 3. Align the backplane with the slot on the chassis
Step 4. Lower the backplane into the server. Leave the backplane an angle of elevation so the backplane
connectors will not get damaged. Make sure the locating plates securely engages the bottom of
the backplane.
Step 5. Press the release latches; then, rotate the top of the backplane toward the front of the server
until it locks into place.
Notes:
1. Based on the server configuration, the hot-swap hard disk drive backplane may appear as
either of the following.
2. Make sure the backplane is engaged into place by the locating plates and that it is securely
installed in the server.
