Using Stop When Stable Mode
Step 1
Select
Stop When Stable
from the Run Mode drop-down menu.
Step 2
Enter values for
Delta (dB)
and
Time
as stability parameters. If the parameter is
detected, the measurement stops.
Step 3
If desired, enable any additional settings on the Control tab, and return to
Using Continuous Mode
In this mode, when the meter is powered on, a measurement runs
continuously and stores data files according to the Daily Auto-Store value you
set. If you set
Daily Auto-Store
to
Never
, the meter defaults to your meter
preferences for Auto-Store. If a measurement is paused, Continuous mode
automatically resumes the measurement after 5 minutes.

from the Run Mode drop-down menu.

Daily Auto-Store
drop-down, and
enter the time of day the data file should be stored in the
Time
(hh:mm:ss)
field.
TAKE NOTE
At the end of the Auto-Store period,
the 831C saves measurement record to a
new, incrementally-named, data file throughout the day based on the
Time
(hh:mm:ss)
. Time indicates the time of day of the first auto store.
TRY THIS
If you want to store a data file each hour of the day beginning at 10:05, choose
the following settings:

Auto-Store
: 1 h
•
Time (hh:mm:ss)
: 00:10:05
If you press Run at 10:10, the measurement record will store at 11:05, 12:05,
and so forth. In this case, the initial measurement record will contain only 50
minutes, while all others will contain the full hour.
