Overall Tab: Leq Page
Metrics displayed on this page are ones you chose in the measurement setup.
1.
L
Aeq
and the L
AS
of the overall measurement.
2.
The L
Zpeak
(Z frequency weighting) is the overall
reading of the peak detector during the measurement.
3.
This run time stops during a pause or stop.
4.
These 3 SPL detectors give the date and time when
these metrics were met during the measurement.
L
Zpeak(max)
The highest level the peak detector has measured
during the run time of the measurement. A date and
time of occurrence is recorded with this event. It’s
considered the peak hold.
L
ASmax
The highest level the SPL detector measured during the
run time of the measurement. It’s considered the max
hold.
L
ASmin
The lowest level the SPL detector measured during the
run time of the measurement. A date and time of
occurrence is recorded with this event.
4.2.4 About the Octave Band Analyzer Page (Overall Page)
TAKE NOTE
This feature requires the 831C-OB3 firmware option, and OBA enabled in the
measurement setup file.
FIGURE 4-12
Overall Tab: 1/1 Octave Band Page
The height of each band in the graph is the amplitude of sound for that
frequency. If you enabled 1/3 Octave bands in the Setup, the 1/3 Octave Band
page is similar, but each band represents a bandwidth of 1/3 octave.

, notice that the numerical values on the Octave
Band page are color coded to indicate a relationship to the graphed octave
band. For example, the blue box next to the L
Aeq
data corresponds to the
blue bands in the graph. See
