Malfunction (1):
Billhook tongue bends or breaks frequently
Possible cause
Remedy

The second knot gets stuck
on the billhook tongue.
See malfunction (2).

Possible cause

Worn or rough points on bill-
hook or bent billhooks or bill-
hook tongue.
Replace the billhook.
2.2
Not enough twine tension on
the lower twine strand.
Hold tight the twine brake at the lower twine strand:
Tighten the spring (6) by turning the wing nut (5) once or
twice.
Remove any dirt deposits in all twine guide eyes (1), the
twine brake (7) and on the swing angle (3).
Replace broken springs (6), twine tension springs (4) or
worn twine guide eyes (1).
Replace broken or worn brake wheels (2).

tainer is too low.
Set the holding force of the twine retainer,

Degrease the twine retainer.
