Zero position
Turn the flywheel manually in working direction (
) until the roll (4) is
engaged in the zero adjuster (3).
Æ
The Variable Filling System (VFS) is in zero position.
The zero position is set correctly if
•
the anvil (14) is lying flush against the set screw (13).
•
the roll centre of the grooved ball bearing (7) rests on the tripping ratchet with dimension
Y=
5 – 8 mm away from the tip of the tripping ratchet (6).
•
the sensing rake (11) has a dimension of
X=
5 – 10 mm to the edge of the packer tray (12).
Check the settings and correct them if required.
Correction
Set the setting screw (13) until the dimension is
Y=
5 – 8 mm between the centre of the
grooved ball bearing and the tripping ratchet tip (6).
Make sure that the grooved ball bearing rets on the tripping ratchet.

If dimension Y cannot be set, check and set if required the absorbing unit,
Set the threaded rod (9) until the sensing rake (11) has a dimension of
X=
5 – 10 mm to the
edge of the packer tray (12).

Setting the zero adjuster

The Variable Filling System (VFS) is in zero position,

The machine is shut down and safeguarded,
.
Release the spring (2).
Loosen the screw (23).
Swivel the zero adjuster (3) manually upwards.
Swivel the cam disc (5) manually as far as it will go towards (I) and hold it there.
Swivel the zero adjuster (3) downwards and turn the eccentric (22) until the roll (4) rests
against the lower area (III) of the zero adjuster.
Tighten the screw (23).
Release the cam disc (5).

The roll (4) of the zero adjuster roll swivels in the upper area (II) of the zero adjuster.
