Checking/setting sensor B22 “Bale on table”
Sensor B22 has been preset in the works of the manufacturer. Due to high operational
demands and settling of components, the sensor may have to be adjusted.

Press a bale (2) until ¾ of its length have exited the bale channel (1).

The signal sheet (3) completely covers the sensor (4).
Æ
The sensor (4) is unattenuated (there is no iron in front of the sensor).

The machine is shut down and safeguarded,

Check dimension X, measured between the upper edge of the sensor (4) and the edge of
the signal sheet (3).
Æ
If the dimension is
X= 5 mm
, the setting is correct.
Æ
If the dimension
is not X=5 mm
, the sensor must be set.
Setting
Loosen the nuts (5) on both sides of the sensor (4).
Push the sensor (4) upwards until dimension is
X=5 mm
between the upper edge of the
sensor (4) and the edge of the signal sheet (3).
Tighten the nuts (5) (tightening torque = 10 Nm).
Ensure during sensor test that the sensor (4) is still unattenuated, Menu 15-1 „Sensor test“.

The sensor has been set correctly if the sensor test shows that the sensor is unattenuated.

If the sensor test shows that the sensor is attenuated, adjust the sensor until the sensor test
shows that the sensor is unattenuated.
