3. Check to see if the VERITAS Remote Control is in “sleep” mode. If the remote is in “sleep”
mode, press any button on the remote. Follow on screen instructions to complete the
key-sequence to pair the remote.
NOTE: Always wake the remote up before you pair the remote.
4. Only pair the VERITAS Remote Control with one system at a time. Ensure you did not pair
the remote with another console. You must:
a. Unpair the remote from the system. Be within close proximity to the system you are
trying to pair to (within 3 meters).
b. Pair the remote with the new system. Ensure this system is at least 40 meters away
from the first system.
5. Once you pair a remote, you cannot pair that remote with another system. (You cannot
pair one remote with two (2) systems.) To replace the first paired remote with a second
remote:
a. Unpair the remote from the system.
b. Move the first remote out of range from the system.
c. Wait for the first remote to go into “sleep” mode, and then tap the Unpair button on
the wireless remote setup page.
d. Pair the new remote.
6. Ensure the batteries are new before you pair the remote with the system. Low batteries
can cause pairing failures.
7. Replace the batteries if pairing has failed after several attempts.
The foot pedal is not operating properly
1. Go to the Configuration screen and perform a Foot Pedal Test.
2. Confirm that you attached the foot pedal cable at the back of the system.
3. Perform a Foot Pedal Calibration (if using a Single Linear Foot Pedal or Advanced Control
Pedal).
The IV Pole does not respond
1. The IV pole might have reached the maximum or the minimum height.
2. Attempt a programmable IV pole height adjustment with the touchscreen, VERITAS
Remote Control, or the rocker switch on the side of the system.
CAUTION!
DO NOT have any other Bluetooth
®
devices in the same area as the remote and the
console (other remote controls, foot pedals, cell phones, or headsets, for example)
as the pairing operation will fail. The software can detect a maximum of thirty-two
(32) devices.
