10.4 MAIN Parameter Group
The
MAIN
parameter group contains all parameters that are availa-
ble as standard, as well as the
GasMix
and
TotalFlow
parameters,
which are only functional when using a second (optional) gas.
10.4.1 Temperature
Measures and controls the temperature in the culture vessel.
10.4.2 Stirrer
Measures and controls the speed of the stirrer. Rotation speed de-
pends on factors such as the size of the motor, vessel volume, cul-
ture viscosity, number and kind of impellers etc.
Stirring speed is often used in a cascade for pO
2
control. Cascades
for pO
2
control can be configured in the editor menu of the pO
2
pa-
rameters.
10.4.3 pH
Measures and controls the pH in the culture vessel within a range
of 2 to 12.
