1.3 Operating conditions
The following conditions must be satisfied before operating the unit. Calculate the conditions using
the following formula.
(Note) When the optional shaft adapter or table adapter is mounted, add the weight and moment of
inertia of the shaft adapter or table adapter.
→ Refer to “Shaft adapter / Table adapter in 1.4 Options.”
Step 1 Check the moment of inertia
↓
Step 2 Check the load moment and thrust load
Step 1 Check the moment of inertia
[When no load torque affected]
Used as shown in the figures below should not have the load torque by the gravity work on the
unit. Calculate of the moment of inertia to check if it is within the allowable inertia moment.
Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Load gravity center: Center of output shaft
Installation of unit:
Horizontal - standard orientation / ceiling mount
Load gravity center: Center of output shaft
Installation of unit:
Horizontally oriented wall mount / vertical orientation
Load gravity center: Offset from center of output shaft
Installation of unit:
Horizontal - standard orientation / ceiling mount
