1.4.2. Entering user password

Once the user profile login button is pressed the login password screen is displayed.

Enter password into the "
Password
" field using the keyboard or the virtual keyboard and press "
Valid
" key.

Once logged in the "
Sample identification
" menu is displayed (See
).
1.4.3. Creating a work session

The user is able to begin a new day of work by checking the "
New Session
" check box in the login
password screen.
◆
A new session is then created and the previous session is archived.
◆
A new session cleans up the SID history.
◆
In one session, a sample ID is linked to the same patient.
If the user enters a sample ID that has already been used, the system considers it as a rerun of
the same sample. The following message will be displayed: "
Are you sure you want to rerun this
sample?
".
Press "
OK
" button to rerun the sample or press "
Cancel
" button.

To re-use the same sample ID for another patient, a new session must be created.

When an erroneous password is entered the following error message is
displayed: "
Invalid password. Please try again.
"

When a user logs in for the first time, a new password is required (except
for "
Lab tech
" created without password. See Section 6,
If an alarm is detected, the "
Status
" button is blinking. Before running an
analysis, enter "
Status
" area to know instrument status and eventual
operation to perform (See
).
Sample rerun cannot be done if the automatic identification option is
activated (See Section 6,

Each entered Patient ID associated with its patient demography is saved in
the instrument database. Patient IDs are unique. They are not cleared when
a new session is created.

Patient demography is managed only by filling in the "
Patient ID
" field. If
it is not filled in, the patient name, first name and date of birth entered are
not traited as patient demography but only as additional information on
patient.
The "
Result history
" menu allows to consult the result of the current session
or the archived results of the previous sessions.
