Tube holder selection:
The sample tube holder has 4 positions according to the sample tube characteristics. The required
position is selected when it is at the 12:00 o'clock position inside the sampling compartment. Turn the
tube holder either "Right" or "Left". A "Clicking" sound will be heard once it is correctly placed.
The tube holder is associated with 3 switches located on the inside "Right-hand" side of the piercing
mechanism. These switches detect the position of the tube holder. A different configuration of
"notches" on the side of the tube holder gives the switches the ability to detect the position desired.
The 4 positions can be used for the following sample tubes with the standard tube holder:

Position 2 : Micro sample collection device up to 0.5ml

Position 4 : Mini Vacutainers up to 3ml
◆
Position 5 : Vacutainers up to 5ml

Position 6 : ABX Control, Calibrator, and Latex Vials only up to 2ml

Mix the sample gently and thoroughly.
◆
Remove the cap from the sample tube.
◆
Place the sample beneath the sampling needle.
◆
Raise up the tube so that the sampling needle lowers into the blood and press the manual sample
bar.
3- The analysis cycle will begin. When the analysis is in progress, the menus are not accessible.
Follow the indications in the different dialog box displayed.
4- When the analysis is completed, the " Sample analysis " dialog box is closed and results are
displayed in the " Result display " menu (See 6. Results, page 4-18 to have detailed information on
patient results).
