4.7. Calibration coefficients
◆
The operator has the option of editing the current calibration coefficients.
4.7.1. Changing calibration coefficients
In the "
Calibration result
" screen:
1-
Display the summary view.
2-
Press "
Edit
" button.
3-
Enter the new coefficients using virtual keyboard or an external keyboard (if one is connected)..
4-
Press "
Close
" key to close the virtual keyboard if it is opened.
5-
Press "
OK
" button.
The new coefficients are displayed in the "
Manu
" line.
New coefficient calculation
New parameter coeff. = (Parameter target value/Parameter mean value) x Current parameter coeff.
◆
After manually editing the calibration coefficients, it is highly recommended to run quality
control. Verify that all levels of control material are within their specified parameter ranges. Verify
that there are no error flags (H, L, *, $, ! for HGB) associated with all levels of quality control
results.
◆
Calibration coefficients are: WBC/RBC/HGB/HCT/PLT/MPV/RDW/PDW.
4.7.2. Calibration coefficient limits
◆
After any calibration has been performed on the instrument, verify that all parameter calibration
coefficients are within their specified ranges as indicated (
).
Tab.5-3 Calibration coefficient limits
◆
If any of the calibration coefficients are out of their specified ranges after calibrating the
instrument, contact your local HORIBA ABX Technical Support Representative.
The ABX Micros
ES60
is an accurate and reliable instrument when properly
maintained. Should any variation of quality control results outside the
assayed ranges occur after calibration, it is highly recommended that you
contact your local HORIBA ABX Technical Support Representative before
manually editing the calibration coefficients!
RDW and PDW can be modified but they are not printed or displayed in the
"
Calibration result
" screen.
PDW and PCT have not been established as indications for this product, in the
