5. User settings
5.1. User tab description

Enter menu " Maintenance\Serv.\Settings\User ".
◆
The " User " tab contains list of user accounts created on the system.
◆
A maximum of 18 user accounts can be created. They are sorted by login name.
When one user profile is selected:

The user name is displayed in the " Login name " field.
◆
The user profile is represented with the correponding icon: Lab tech, Scientist or Technician (for
HORIBA ABX technician only). See Section 4,
1.4.1. User profile selection, page 4-4 .
This tab allows to create, delete or modify a user account:

5.2. User account creation
In the " User " tab:
1- Press " New user " button ( Diag.6-7 ).

The " User profile " screen is displayed.
2- Select user profile in the combo box (Lab tech or Scientist) using arrows. " Lab tech " is selected
by default.
3- Enter the user name (between 3 and 10 characters):

Press " Login name " field to select it.
◆
Type a user name using the virtual keyboard or an external keyboard (if one is connected).
4- Enter the user password (between 3 and 10 characters):

Press " Password " field to select it.
◆
Type a user password using the virtual keyboard or an external keyboard (if one is connected).
◆
Type exactly the same password in both " Password " fields.
5- Press " Close " key to close the virtual keyboard if it is opened.
6- Use arrows to set the auto-disconnection duration in the " Time out " combo box.
- For Lab tech profile, the auto-disconnection duration can be from Never to 240 min.
"
Never " is factory set by default.
- For Scientist profile, the auto-disconnection duration can be from 5 min to 240 min.
"
5 min " is factory set by default.
7- Press " OK " button.
User settings can only be done by a user with a " Scientist " profile.
At any time, the " Cancel " button allows to cancel modifications and reset all
fields with previous values.

For " Lab tech " profile, the password is not mandatory.
