Fill the crankcase with recommended engine oil
(page 3-15).
Check that the O-ring on the oil filler cap is in good
condition, and replace it if necessary.
Install the oil filler cap.
Recheck the oil level (page 3-14).
Make sure there are no oil leaks.
RADIATOR COOLANT
Check the coolant level of the reserve tank with the
engine running at normal operating temperature.
The level should be between the "UPPER" and
"LOWER" level lines on a level surface.
If necessary, add recommended coolant.
Remove the reserve tank filler cap and fill to the
"UPPER" level line with 50/50 mixture of distilled
water and antifreeze.
Reinstall the filler cap.

Check the radiator air passages for clogging or dam-
age.
Remove the radiator grill (page 6-11).
Straighten bend fins with a small, flat blade screw
driver and remove insects, mud or other obstruc-

Replace the radiator if the air flow is restricted over
more than 20% of the radiating surface.
Remove the rear cover A (page 7-4).
Inspect the radiator hoses for cracks or deteriora-
tion, and replace if necessary.
Check the tightness of all hose clamps and fasten-
