ABS INDICATOR CIRCUIT
TROUBLESHOOTING
ABS INDICATOR DOES NOT COME ON (when the
ignition switch turned to "ON")
1. Combination
Meter
Power/Ground
Line
Inspection
Check the combination meter power and ground
lines (page 20-21).
Are the wires normal?
YES
–
GO TO STEP 2.
NO
–
Open circuit in related wires.
2. Indicator Operation Inspection
Remove the seat (page 2-4).
Pull the lock lever up and disconnect the ABS
modulator 25P connector.
Turn the ignition switch to "ON" and check the
ABS indicator.
Does the indicator come on?
YES
–
Faulty ABS modulator.
NO
–
GO TO STEP 3.
3. Indicator Signal Line Short Circuit Inspection
CBF600SA:
Remove the front center cowl (page 2-10).
Remove the dust cover.
CBF600NA:
Remove the headlight unit (page 20-7)
With the connector connected, check for conti-
nuity between the Red/black wire terminal of the
harness side connector and ground.
Is there continuity?
YES
–
Short circuit in Red/black wire between
the combination meter and ABS modu-
lator.
NO
–
Faulty combination meter.
