SENSOR
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
• Handle the O
2
sensor with care.
• Do not get grease, oil or other materials in the O
2
sensor air hole, or it may be damaged.
• Do not service the O
2
sensor while it is hot.
Remove the exhaust pipe (page 2-11).
Remove the O
2
sensor using the special tool.
• Be careful not to damage the sensor wire.
• Do not use an impact wrench while removing or
installing the O
2
sensor, or it may be damaged.
Install the O
2
sensor onto the exhaust pipe and
tighten it securely.
Install the exhaust pipe (page 2-12).

Inspection
Remove the left intake air duct from the air cleaner
housing (page 5-64).
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the diaphragm.
Connect a vacuum pump to the diaphragm and
apply specified vacuum.
The vacuum should hold and the duct valve should
remain open.
