Remove the spring seat and fork spring from the
fork tube.
Pour out the fork fluid by pumping the fork tube sev-
eral times.
Remove the axle holder bolt from the fork slider.
Hold the fork slider in a vice with soft jaws or a shop
towel.
Remove the fork socket bolt and sealing washer.

If the fork piston
turns together with
the socket bolt,
temporarily install
the fork spring,
spring seat, spring
collar and fork cap.
